Global Wave Conference

The Global Wave Conference 2020 will bring the smartest surfing minds in the world to the Gold Coast to seek outcomes and solutions for the many issues facing ocean pollution.
The 6th biennial Global Wave Conference is an International Ocean Conservation event held for first time in Australia and the Southern Gold Coast. This will be a significant International Ocean Conservation event dealing with ecological issues and concerns for now and the future.
The Conference is expected to draw over 400 participants covering a diverse range of environmental, sustainable, health and fitness, industry, innovation, social and cultural topics presented by some of the most articulate minds from academia, conservation, activism, surfing legends, authors, and photographers.
The 5-day program includes Festival activities such as Active and Healthy morning fitness sessions, Save the Waves Surf Movie Festival, book launches and beachside parties.
National Coaches from Surfing Australia Bede Durbidge and Kim Crane have been confirmed in the speaker’s line-up shedding light on Australia’s preparation for surfing at the 2020 Olympics in Japan.
The 6th biennial GWC 2020 event will be hosted at Gold Coast Campus, Southern Cross University from the 10th – 14th February 2020.
